I am coming from the Turkish Wikipedia :) The user who had the second place in https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/UNESCO_Challenge UNESCO Challenge told that he quit contributing Wikipedia because he didn't/couldn't recieve the prize that he earned. Thank you for your message. I've been informed that my colleagues are helping you with this, but let me know if there is anything I can do specifically.
The user says that the organizators promised certain prizes, and that was one of the reasons that he participated. And now, they are giving totally unrelated prizes which he didn't participated at the first place. And he has a point. And, we lost a precious user :(
I understand that the book that was one of the prizes ran out of print during the competition. That is very unfortunate, and we have learned to secure prizes in advance for future competitions. The user has been offered to choose another prize instead, and I hope that they will be able to find something that they feel is worth their participation in the competition. Have a nice day.
