Participaion in fairs and conferences
The chapter has over the years participated in both the Gothenburg book fair and for the first time at the Photo fair in Stockholm. The chapter has also been invited to several conferences and hasparticipated in meetings with our Europeean sister chapters. This year we also arranged a nordic meeting with the Danish, Norwegian and Finnish chapters. The chapters gave scholarships for attending Wikimania, the yearly conference for the entire movement , and seven members participated.
Gothenburg book fair 2011
The chapter paticipated as the last years o the Gothenburg book fair in late September. Wa had a booth where over four days informed about the chapter and all Wikimedia projects, mostly on Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons though. The booth was manned by somme volunteers from Gothenburg but also members from Stockholm.
During the fair we took the chances to take pictures of visiting authors, journalists and politicians. A few hundred pictures has been uploaded to Commons. Many authors who previously did not have images, or had bad ones, now got pictures of high quality. The new equipment in the technology pool was heavily used, both the lens and the video camera. Amongst other things we interview several Members of the Parliament.
Intensivdagarna 2011
Intensivdagarna is aranged by Riksutställningar and for three tday exhibitors from mostly Sweden, but also the rest of the Nordic is gathered. On invitation two members from Wikimedia Sverige attended and gave a talk on how they can use Wikipedia. The talk was well attended and the following days gave us severeal valuable contacts for the future.
Nordic meeting
Wikimedia Sverige arranged a meeting for our Nordic sister chapters in Gothenburg alongside FSCONS. Two representatives from Denmark, Norway and Sweden and one from Finland met to discuss future plans, cooperations and strategies.

Two members from the chapter participated.
Wikimania
Wikimania 2011 was in Haifa, northern Israel. Foru board members from the chapter participated along three members. Lennart Guldbrnadsson presented his fellowship and Johan Jönsson and Jan Ainali presented Internet in Sweden. Wikimania is a yearly conference and meeting place for Wikimedians. The last Wikimania as the sevnth and attracted 720 persons from 56 countries. In 2012 Wikimania will take place in Washington D.C. July 12-15.
